I must admit from the drawing I dont really get it- so are the little white spades the cover for the whole, and they are slightly flexible so when you tilt them food comes out? If so, how can you stop the food from keep coming, whilst taking the food you want off the spade, whilst closing the hole? If I am brutally honest, even if you could figure this out, I couldnt get away from the fact that it looks so much like a bird feeder- it generates negative stigma in my opinion (eat like a sparrow= derogatory)

For a domestic setting I agree with dave, it looks very much like an agricultural feeder and that may not be to some peoples tastes. Perhaps for a supermarket or commercial placement this could be perfect (with a redesigned plate for holding the dispensed products). A healthy variation on the pick and mix kiosk. It has a place but not in the home.

Although this would be easy to clean and refill, it seems a little too simple to fit in a kitchen. It's a little too much like a bird feeder for me. Also i agree with holly in that it relies entirely on gravity, so it would be likely seeds would be split on the floor when someone gets one.

How would this control portion size. Also, I think it could get messy, with nuts and seeds going all over the floor.

This design is inspired by bird feeder design. It relies totally on gravity, only letting more of the snack out once the snack on the tray has been removed. The tray holds one portion of your chosen snack at any one time. The plastic bowls of the container are easy to refill, keep the snack fresh and are easy to clean.

What do you think about this design? What do you like/dislike, what would you change, what feature do you like the most, what colours/materials would you like to see, do you like the aesthetic, do you like the function?
